In a pivotal step towards advancing Africa’s energy future, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, in partnership with Africa Legal, launched the inaugural Energy Leadership Forum during African Energy Week 2025.
The forum convened a select group of senior industry leaders, investors and development finance institutions at a critical inflection point for African energy markets. Discussions focused on the realities of capital deployment, regulatory reform and the transition of assets into indigenous ownership with a clear emphasis on execution, not theory.
In 2026, the forum evolves this conversation moving from transition to delivery, reform and investment outcomes.
The focus will be on how leaders across government, capital and industry can:
Translate policy frameworks into bankable and investable opportunities
Unlock sustainable capital flows into African energy markets
Strengthen regulatory certainty and investor confidence
Deliver commercially viable projects that support energy security and industrial growth
Olaniwun Ajayi LP sits at the forefront of this agenda, combining deep experience in energy, infrastructure, project finance and regulatory reform with a track record of advising on some of Nigeria’s most significant transactions. Together with Africa Legal, the forum provides a platform for decision-makers shaping the next phase of Africa’s energy sector.
